Toshiba Journe Air 801 and 1000 WiFi Digital Frames

Toshiba launches the new Journe Air 801 and Journe Air 1000 WiFi-enabled digital photo frames. The Journe Air 801 has a 8.4-inch LCD display and 128MB internal memory while the
Journe Air 1000 offers a 10-inch screen and 1GB internal memory. They both have a external memory card slot supporting SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick, MSPro and xD cards.
The integrated WiFi support allow both digiframes to get RDD updates and stream photos from Flickr and Picasa. The 10-inch model comes with also internet radio and the Journe Air 801 offers “Sub-View” and “3D Album”. Both frames have built-in speakers and alarm, clock and calendar functions. They play also MP3 and MPEG4 files.
Along with the digital photo frames, Toshiba announced also the Journe Scan portable scanner that can scan images at up to 4×6-inches (1800 x 1200 resolution / 300 dpi). It has memory card slots and offers Auto Photo Detecting and Paper Feeding.
Toshiba Journe Air 801 and 1000 are priced at GBP139.99 and GBP169.99 respectively.

You can’t tranfer files through WiFi over a local network. The preset radio channels are unfortunately… preset! The Journe Air 1000 loses all settings at times, making it very irritating to work with if u take into account that the virtual keyboard for typing URLs is not so good. After all u have to move through the letters and numbers by using arrow keys…
