Fujitsu FLEPia – the First Color E-Book

Fujitsu is going to launch its new FLEPia, the first color e-paper mobile terminal (ie. e-book). The Fujitsu FLEPia has a 8-inch 260k color touchscreen display with 768×1014 XGA resolution. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity and has a SD card slot.

Fujitsu’s FLEPia runs Windows CE 5.0 and comes with two e-book viewers, the BunkoViewer for XMDF format and the T-Time for .book format. This color e-book is energy efficient offering up to 40 hours of continoues operation when fully charged. It’s really slim and lightweight at just 12.5mm thick and weighs just 385g.
Fujitsu FLEPia will be released in Japan in 20 April for 99,750 Yen. It will come in White or Black. Optional Book cover and storage case will also be launched for 5800 Yen and 5500 Yen respectively.

great to have these products getting introduced to customers.
As for this product itself.. some glitches..
Too costly.. I wont pay USD 1000+ for this..
Needs to cost less than half of what it is now.
the Glare.. way too bad.. Cut the glare out pls Fujitsu.

Keep a look out for these products..
great for carrying along reading PDF journals, review papers and research articles on the go.. Perhaps even medical text books.
Computer monitors are just too much a strain to the eyes.
