Dell EqualLogic PS6000 series iSCSI Storage Arrays

Dell announced the new EqualLogic PS6000 series iSCSI storage arrays. Five models are available including PS6000E, PS6500E, PS6000X, PS6000XV and PS6000S. Compare to previous generation, the EqualLogic PS6000 offers up to 91 percent faster for sequential write workloads and up to 29 percent faster for sequential read workloads. They support over 500TB of storage per PS series group.
Among five models, the PS6000S includes Solid State Drive array for better database and virtual desktop performance. The EqualLogic PS6000 series starts at US$17,000 and the SSD equipped PS6000S at US$25,000. They all come with EqualLogic SAN HeadQuarters software and integration with Microsoft Hyper-V.
