EchoStar announced the T2200S, the world’st first SlingLoaded HD DVT for cable. The T2200S is a tru2way-based multi tuner HD DVR designed for cable TV. Thanks to Sling’s technology, the EchoStar T2200S allows users to enjoy live TV, DVR, VOD content on any internet-connected devices, including PC, mobile phone, notebook.
EchoStar T2200S comes with a 1TB hard drive. It supports MPEG-2, H.264 (MPEG-4) and VC1 formats, and up to 1080p24 resolution. The HD DVR has 1GHz tuners to support expanded network bandwidth. It connects to home network via Ethernet LAN, Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) or WiFi (optional).
EchoStar T2200S will go into volume production in Q4 2009.
