Olympus SP-590UZ is a 12 Megapixel camera with a 26x otpical zoom lens. The camera is powered by Olympus’ TruePic III image processing engine, face detection, dual image stabilization and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.
The Olympus SP-590UZ is available from BuyDig at $399.95 and PCMall at $449.99.
PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Olympus SP-590UZ and comments:
So in summary, the Olympus SP-590UZ is an intuitive and well-featured compact bridge camera with a frankly amazing lens and focal range, which delivers good-looking images if taken in the right lighting conditions. It doesn’t fare so well in low-light, isn’t a great choice for keeping up with the action, and feels incomplete without the RAW mode. On the whole though, the Olympus SP-590UZ is a great do-it-all camera that’s easy to highly recommend.

Hello there, just doing some browsing for my Omaha 4g website. Lots of information out there. Looking for something else, but nice site. Have a great day.
I bought one of these in September to shoot day and night action softball photos. Called Olympus support to find best setting for sequential action shots. Was told setting P, auto ISO, drive H2 (need for close plays). Got lines top to bottom and ghosts (sunlight). Sent in for repair. Got back. Still did not work. Olympus sent me a new one today. SAME DAMN THING!
Garbage shots with lines across the frame anywhere a bright light source is. So how do you take high speed sequential shots with this camera without getting lines and ghosts. I could have saved myself tons of money if I wanted 1 shot stills.
Hopeless in Omaha
