Perfect for me – got a USB compatible head unit in the car the port at the front, so this will be very flush and has the added bonus of no flashing led (i assume) when operating :-)

Perfect for being able to pass large amounts of data from your laptop to one right next to you without worrying about losing the drive or breaking it. Not so good if you ever have to carry the drive in your pocket.

You see, I really hate this kind of thing. It’s nice to know that the technology is moving on, but making a memory stick that small is just impractical and a waste of time. The common size of sticks is so that they won’t be lost, can be attached to a keyring, you can add and remove them to a port with ease, and so that you can tell when one’s plugged into the computer, not because of the technology’s size limitation. You can buy anything from about 128mb to 32gb at the moment easily in the same size.

I understand your point, Pixellated, but what you could do with this particular memory stick, because it is so incredibly small, you could leave it in your laptop without the need to take it out until you have to put a document on another computer.

My my, how prices and size have fallen! My father had a drive, the ‘Apple Sider’ which you can see here, although this is just some random pic I found containing the same drive my father had.

20 MB, the size of a small briefcase or whatever.
