Sony ICD-SX800 and ICD-SX700 digital voice recorders

Sony launches in Europe the ICD-SX800 and the ICD-SX700 digital voice recorder for professionals. The 1GB ICD-SX700 and 2GB ICD-SX800 both include three microphones to ensure every recording is detailed and crystal clear.

These compact recorders noise cut function, a low frequency filter, Index button for ‘bookmarking’ during recording, digital pitch control and voice activated recording function. There is also the ICD-SX800DR that comes with Dragon NaturallySpeaking v10 Recorder Edition software for fast, accurate transcription of recorded speech to text.

Sony ICD-SX800 and ICD-SX700 both come with a black or silver finish and they work with PC and Mac.

    Does anyone know where one can get the stand for the Sony ICDSX700? The stand is not supplied in North America for some reason. Even a model number for the stand would be helpful.

    I would like to know if the SX800 & the SX700 are suitable for music recording or is it only for speech.

    Can you name me a recorder that is more suitable for sound/music suitable for professional musicians???

      ICD-SX900 is what appears to be the newest and cleanest for music professionals, but it is pretty pricey at about 30000 yen. We used it today with back round music in combination with voice (Male) and it picked up everything very clear!
