Metrological Mediaconnect TV HD Media Streamer / Player

Metrological introduces the Mediaconnect TV (aka Conceptronic YUIXX), which is the first HD media streaming device powered by Intel’s Media Processor CE 3100. It has 756MB RAM and 2GB flash ROM. It supports SATA hard drives up to 2TB.
The media streamer features hardware H.264 ⁄ MPEG-4 AVC ⁄ VC1 decoder that does 1080p decoding and 1080p hardware upscaling as well as hardware Dolby Digital ⁄ DTS decoder supporting up to 7.1 channels. It can be equipped with optional DVB T ⁄ C ⁄ S tuner, WiFi, Bluetooth as well as tri-band GSM/UMTS/HSDPA modules.
The Mediaconnect TV has an Ethernet port, a SD/MMC card reader, two USB ports as well as Component, Composite and HDMI 1.3a connectors. No words yet on availability.
