Garmin Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 handheld GPS navigators

Garmin presents the Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 handheld GPS navigation devices. They both pack a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix that “automatically calculates and stores critical satellite information and can use that information to quickly calculate a position”.
Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 have a 2.6-inch 160×240 LCD touchscreen and 850MB built-in memory that can hold up to 1,000 waypoints, 50 routes, 2,000 geocaches, an active tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks. On two AA batteries, these Dakata navigators can operate for up to 20 hours.
The more advanced Dakota 20 adds a a 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, barometric altimeter, wireless unit-to-unit connectivity and a microSD card. Garmin Dakota 10 costs $299.99 while the Dakota is priced at $349.99.
