Epson World’s Smallest XGA HTPS-TFT LCD Panel Production Begins

Epson just announced that it has started the volume production of its World’s Smallest XGA high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) TFT LCD panel (model: L3P05X-91G00), which is for 3LCD projectors. The chip size of L3P05X-91G00 is just 0.55-inch (diagonal), compare to 0.63-inch of its predecessor.
Epson’s new 3LCD chip is a TN panel with XGA 1024×768 resolution and 73% aperture ratio. It allows projectors to offer 2000 to 2600 lumens of brightness.
