HTC officially announced the Hero that is the company’s third Android smartphone (the G3). Like the Magic (G2), the Hero is boosted by Qualcomm MSM7200A 528 MHz processor. It has 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM.

Japanese mini laptop maker, Kohjinsha introduces the new SK3 convertible tablet netbook (model: SK3KX06GA). The SK3 serves as an upgrade to the SC3, coming with a better camera and battery pack.

Silicon Mountain introduces the new Allio LINK series of internet video players and Home Theatre PCs (HTPC)/Media PCs/media streamers. In total, there are seven models, all can be connected to existing HDTVs and include integrated WiFi connectivity.

Vizio adds to its flagship XVT series nine new Full HD models ranging from 32-inch to 55-inch screen sizes. Most new models get the 240Hz refresh rate and some of them have the TruLED backlit with Smart Dimming backlight technology, including SV472XVT, VF550XVT and VF552XVT.

Toshiba launches its new Satellite A500/A505 models of multimedia notebook in the US market. The A500 laptops are powered by either Intel or AMD processors and up to  8GB RAM. Consumer can equip the A500 with ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series graphics and up to 500GB hard drive.

Toshiba announced in the US market its new Satellite L Series notebooks for budget-smart and back-to-school consumers. The new Satellite L line includes the 14-inch Satellite L510/L515, the 15.6-inch/16-inch Satellite L500/L505 and the 17.3-inch L550/L555. The latter two have been launched in Europe earlier.
