Synology DS409Slim Compact 4-Bay NAS

Synology announced the DS409Slim, an ultra compact 4-bay network attached storage (NAS) device that is eco-friendly. The DS409Slim has four 2.5-inch hot-swappable drive bays. Each bay can accomodate a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD up to 500GB, totaling 2TB storage capacity.

Synology DS409Slim is powered by a 1.2GHz processor, 128MB RAM. It has a Gigabit LAN port, an eSATA port and two USB 2.0 ports. The NAS supports UPnP that allows media streaming and includes applications for BitTorrent, FTP, eMule downlad.

The Synology DS409Slim is priced at $400.
