If DataWind’s PockerSurfer is not your cup of tea, take a look at the company’s UbiSurfer, a 7-inch netbook. Like the smaller PocketSurfer, the UbiSurfer supports GPRS (dual-band 900MHz/1800mHz) and has embedded SIM card. WiFi 802.11b/g and Ethernet connections are alo supported. The device has 128MB RAM and 1GB flash memory.

The UbiSurfer comes with a 7-inch 800×480 LCD display, a touchpad, and full QWERTY keyboard. Designed as an internet device, it has Firefox browser pre-installed and supports DataWind’s web acceleration system. Audio and video streaming are not supported. Other features include a SD acrd slot, a microphone, three USB ports and an earphone jack. The battery can provide four hours of usage.

DataWind UbiSurfer is priced at GBP159.99 including 30 hours of internet access per month for the first year. You can get unlimited internet access for GBP5.99 per month or a one-off charge of GBP59.99.
