Toshiba just announced in Japan that it will release in Japan in August a WiMAX-enabled netbook, known as the dynabook UX/27JBLMA. Based on the original dynabook UX netbook, Toshiba’s new offering is powered by an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz, 1GB memory and onboard GMA950 graphics. It gets a 160GB hard drive.
The dynabook UX/27JBLMA is equipepd with Intel’s WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150 module for WiMAX and WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n support. The device has a 10.1-inch 1024×600 LED-backlit LCD display and a 0.3 Megapixel webcam.
The Toshiba dynabook UX/27JBLMA will be released in Mid-August. Also introduced is the dynabook SS RX2/T9JMA that is basically a dynabook SS RX2 notebook with 128GB SSD and WiMAX. Another SSD and WiMAX equipped model is the dynabook SS RX2/WAJ with 512GB SSD.
