Verdict
At first glance, Mio’s Navman Spirit V735 TV could seem like a desperate attempt to grab headlines, or even a potentially dangerous new way for drivers to distract their attention from the road. But it would make a lot of sense for some types of traveller. If you’re off on holiday in your camper van, it will help you get to your destination and then provide some evening or rainy-day entertainment when you get there. Best of all, it costs under £300, which is relatively competitive for a premium widescreen sat-nav with European maps and TMC traffic – and that’s before you even consider the massive display and built-in TV. So whilst it’s not going to be an ideal general-purpose personal navigation device, it’s great value if you’re after a portable digital TV as well.

Mio Navman Spirit V735 TV Navigator Reviewed is the worst product I have ever purchased. I hate myself for letting a clever sales salesman lure me into buying. It is in anyway unpractical, slow and unprecise. The on off function simply does not work. There are no cables for using it elsewhere than in the car. So you cannot walk with it, having the car turned off or upload maps. The menus unintuitive. The tv works only in cities when not driving. It suggests the most absurd routes by default. I was completely lost going to another country. Its build in voice is ridicoulus, at best a good laugh, but otherwise no help, rather a distraction, going absolutely nuts if you divert from your route in stead of suggesting new route. Never waste money on this product. It is a phony.
I’ve bought one a few days ago, if you want tv and nav, it’s fantastic, if you want to watch video forget it, it jitters and pauses, and after about 1 minute totally ruins what you are watching, I think it’s the paltry ram in it doing it myself, needless to say it’s going back, after two days of avi,mpeg4,asf etc etc converting I’m done with it, but as as a nav unit it seems very good, and also as long as there is a signal so is the tv.
¿did you tested? I do not think that.
I DID:
I have tested Mio Moov Spirit V735TV during 2 days and at least I have decided to return and not to buy it. ¿Reasons?
2) I have tested DVB-T (digital TV) in my car in the city of Granada (SPAIN) with direct view to PARAPANDA and mio v735tv didn’t recieve any signal. I have conected mio v735tv at home and i recieved all digital channels but in street lost all signals. so DVB-T do not work properly.
3) Do not play DVIX, XVID, you have to convert all your movies to MP4, MPG, WMV or natural AVI and when i play any movie the mio v735TV do not work properly because when the car is running and jump the movie stop and close. when de car is running and you stop in trafic light the movie stop and close (you must to pkay it again)
4) JPG (pictures) i have several JPG pictures in my microSD card and Mio v735tv do not play JPG pictures.
5) 359€ for 7″ GPS es very expensive, today you have notebook 11″ for 400€ in spain.
6) I am very disapointed with mio enterprise because they have launched a product not tested!! It is not dificult to test the product. I think product manager should install the product in his car and test Digital TV, play movies, etc…and detect all this errors…
7) MioPocket 3.0 is not compatible with v735tv yet.
