Bell Canada launches the LG Bliss entry-level touchscreen mobile phone for CDMA 800/1900MHz networks. The Bliss features a 3-inch color touchscreen, a 2 Megapixel camera, integrated GPS, Bluetooth and integrated MP3 player.
The LG Bliss supports Satellite radio and comes with HTML mobile browser. It accepts microSDHC memory cards up to 16GB. It is available from Bell Canada for CA$79.95 with a 3-year contract.

i have this phone, love it! i some how managed to change the calibration to the phone and its locked. i cant touch any button on the phone how do i restart to fix it? its no good to me if i cant get the talk button to work if someone calls.. any help would be awesome thanks
Go to the tallest building in your city. Look over the edge and drop your phone. Then go on the street and inspect the phone. Repeat till frustration boils over and phone is beat to dust.
After a small break, go on google and locate the closest Apple store and buy any iPhone.
This has nothing to do with “changing the calibration”. it’s a bug with this phone. The Bliss is the biggest piece of cr** that LG ever produced. My daughter had one and it started freezing and shutting down 2 days after the warranty expired so Bell/LG would do nothing about it. Repeated “software updates” did nothing. Then its touchscreen went wonky and she had to press half an inch right of buttons to make them work rendering any button near the right side useless. It is a piece of junk.
Every review I’ve read says how much they hate the LG Bliss, but I honestly love it. I’ve never had any problems with mine, except that sometimes it freezes. It holds more messages in the inbox than my old Samsung phone, which I love. It saves all picture/video messages, which is a bonus. The camera is great. I love how you can personally change the font type, and how you can draw pictures to set as your backgrounds on the five different screens. The lock screen is a personal favorite, because it keeps from the phone doing something it’s not supposed to, and at the same time, it lets you see how many new messages, missed calls, and what you have scheduled. Msn and Facebook are preset icons. The music player isn’t the best, because it turns off when you get a new message, but that’s no big deal.
Someone wrote that when they hit the “M” key, an “A” comes up, that’s just because the calibration is off, all you’d need to do was fix it in the settings. That’s their own personal fault, not to blame the phone.
I’ve never had any screen problems, or glitches. It works perfectly for me. And there’s nothing wrong with mine, I’ve had it for about three months now, and it’s just perfect. None of my friends that have used it complained about it either.
To me, the LG Bliss is the best phone I’ve owned out of the three I’ve had.
How can you say you’ve never had any problems when you state, “except that sometimes it freezes”? Dear, freezing is not a normal operation of a quality phone. I’ve owned about 20 different phone over the past 13 years and never has one frozen on me. Ever. Plus fixing the calibration is great – if it works, but unfortunately on this phoen it doesn’t so don’t preach to people that it’s their own fault. This phone is a piece of junk.

I agree with all the negative feedback. I’ve had mine for about 6mths and now it turns itself off all the time, when I’m texting I touch say the letter M and an A comes up. It’s very frustrating and wish that I had of held out for an iphone and am now kicking myself for it. I was originally with Rogers but left my contract as they kept trying to charge me for things I wasn’t using and thought Bell would be better. But like a few people I’ve read about on here, I got suckered in by a Bell rep and the rest is history. I had hoped I could at least get a replacement phone, but after reading all these reviews I’m afraid that’s not going to be possible.
This is honestly the worst phone (LG BLISS) I have ever owned, and I have owned many. I have never been treated so poorly and with the worst service EVER. I bought this phone in December of 2009 and I am still fighting for a new phone. I took it back to the store 3 days after I bought it as it would turn off when I would go to edit a message. They replaced it with a new one of the same model which I found out in the store; did the exact same thing. Their next plan was to send it away for a “software update” well two weeks later I got it back in the exact same condition, doing the same thing. I’ve contacted my service provider (Bell – who I am extremely disappointed with over this whole problem) and I’ve also called directly to LG. I took it back into the store as one of the tech guys told me I had to send it in twice. The Bell store told me to try and call customer service, so I did. On the phone with the customer service rep. in the Bell parking lot I got yelled at saying that I wasn’t suppose to call her, and that wasn’t her job, and there was nothing she could do about it… So I took the screaming woman on the phone into the Bell store and let them deal with her. Following this incident the in store Bell reps said they would personally call LG and try and figure something out for me and call , which they never did. Now it freezes and shut off, and when it starts acting up it will do it constantly 6+ times in a row until I give up on using it. Recently it has started turning off on its own – try receiving a call then. Overall my experience has been a absolutely horrid, I’ve been with bell for about 6 years now and have never had a problem like this. I’ve talked to about 8 Bell reps and called LG as well. They both don’t seem to feel it is necessary to give the proper customer service to ensure I continue my business with them. I would NEVER recommenced LG to anyone!
This will be the second month i have had the LG bliss everything has been working fine until..now because today i took it out of my pocket and it looks to me that something happened to the inner screen i can still press everything but its all pixelated and has lines on it and as i move and press on the phone the pixalation either grows or decreases its really annoying since i havnt had the phone long i dont no what to do i dont wanna pay to sent it or to get a new phone what can i do?
I know Bell sucks, but what about virgin mobile LG Bliss? anygood?, better service?
Bell does suck as a service provider. But this LG Bliss phone Sucks period!… Horrible phone. There are alot of better choices at the same price point.
I have LG Bliss with virgin mobile and love it.
I find that Virgin Mobile has much better service than what they seem to have at Bell.

how many txt messages can you fit in total?? i hate phones that cant fit many…
It doesn’t fit many text messages at all and deletes all ur old messages. This is typical of LG phones including the LG Bliss. Also unlike other quality phones, you can’t send out text messages greater then 140 characters and any messages people send back to you over 140 characters are broken up into mulitple text messages and they are not even in order. LG is one of the worst phone makers when it comes to text messages.

I have had this bliss for about 4 months and had to send it in for repair because the touch screen freezes up and you can only make a call about every 5 minutes. This phone blows. I hate this phone, and they give you a stylus to use but the phone has no place to carry it. I will never recommend this phone to anyone. I am going to buy another phone just to be rid of this one. Pretty sad, all I get is a run around from the provider. And they gave me an ancient scratched up phone as a loner. Way to to In Touch in Ardmore, OK.
How is this phone to text on? I will be doing mostly texting but I hate qwerty keyboards. I have an LG rumor now and am fairly happy with it but I get an upgrade soon. Is this a good texting phone?
to be honest i was in you position and i liked the rumour better. there isn’t anything physical to the phone so you dont know when you hit a key or not. plus the phone doesnt keep up with you when you txt you have to txt slow witch pisses me off. over all the phone looks good but doesn’t live up to its specs.
Well i just received the LG Bliss 10 days ago after waiting for 2 months for a replacement phone as the LG rumor broke. Today the LG Bliss screen freezes up and any incoming calls the caller cannot hear anything but static. I have just been informed that the Bliss is on back order and perhaps i would like a different phone. They are also planning on charging me an additional 50.00 replacement fee, which i already paid. i have sent over 20 emails and made at least 30 phone calls, no exaggeration here, most to the executive office at Bell and not once have they returned my phone call. why did i leave Rogers?
I love this phone. Its 4 customizable screens are great to access everything you want. The people who are complaining are upset about Bells plans and their fees. This has NOTHING to do with the phone itself. We are reviewing the phone, not Bell. The phone feels very solid. The Touch screen is incredibly responsive and accurate. The Camera is great with many features as well and of course the speaker is very clear. A poor mans Iphone. A great option if you don’t want to buy an Iphone.
I dont know where your coming from. i have no problem with my plan in fact thats the only reason i still have the phone. my LG Bliss is very inaccurate ( when typing a txt i could hit F and it would hit R. i have to press a fair amount and more then a should for the screen to switch. the phone is has a great design but it needs a lot of improvements. the one thing i like most about the phone is i’ve had it for about 4 months now and it is the toughest phone i’ve had not even a scratch on the thing. the performance is what makes the phone suck

LG Bliss phone is horrible. I’m on my second one in 2 weeks, first time the speaker went out and just today the touch screen went out. Don’t buy this phone
I’ve owned the LG Bliss for two weeks now and it works great. although the first day i got it my browser wouldn’t work so i called bell and they said it was a faulty phone and to get a new one. i did, and so far so good. i love it. all the cool apps are awesome. it keeps me busy. i find everybody who is making the phone sound bad are really just mad and how much it costs for the internet and e-mail. i had the unlimited internet on my last phone so i’m used to paying the extra. all in all, the phone itself as a device works great.
Are u messed? This is probably by far the worst phone ive owned. For the last month it randomly freezes and restarts and often the screen messes up!!. And lastnight the phone worked i wake up today and it wont even turn on DONT BUY THIS PHONE

Great Phone. I give it 110% I am totally in love with it. Had an LG Rumor, and killed it.. and I now own the bliss, that is the same price as the Rumor. It is very affordable, and I am in love with it. There is not case for them yet, but I purchased a silicone case that is made for the black berry pearl, and it fits, and protects it like a charm. Would recommend this phone to anyone, great for texting, and nice camera.

I would like to give my 2 thumbs up for this fone. There’s not much info on this around, however my friends and I all love it (even the ones who own blackberries). Do get the unlimited mobile browser plan which is about $10/month and you won’t have to pay per mb usage of data ever again as opposed as blackberry users. It has motion enabled games like on the wii (kinda) big screen, great colors and extras for whoever needs them. Make sure you read the contract and features available on your phone, is bell rep doesn’t inform you, it’s YOUR fault for signing up your life away to an unread contract. My advise, go to best buy, play with the unit first, they even offer a $5 month plan were you can change your bell phone unlimited amount of times, however i got this and i don’t want to get rid of it. Battery is fine last 3 days. Has very customizable screens -3 of them- so u can have shortcuts for multimedia, contacts and apps. Remember bell has a 15 min talk time policy, so test ANY phone u get from them before you hit this 15 min talktime mark ! 5 stars for the LG Bliss
I have owned the Bliss for a week and I really like this phone. I think the posters above were expecting the features of a smart phone and were disappointed. This bliss is not a smart phone but it does have some very nice features that fill the gap between a standard cellphone and a data device. My favourite feature of the Bliss is that it has an HTML web browser and a nice 3 inch touch screen display. This means that, although some sites will still show the mobile version of their page, others will load the entire webpage and graphics just like you would see it on your computer. Many features like email (hotmail, yahoo, gmail) can all be checked via the mobile versions or their site. However, I am able to log in to the full HTML version of my gmail without a problem. This means that many websites that you can view on your computer are available on your cell phone and will look the same way as they do on your computer. You are easily able to check facebook, weather, movie show times and rss feeds without a problem.
So, as the above user commented, it would be advised to put the mobile browser feature on your account which does cost $10 or is included in a FUN15 bundle that gives you 250 text messages, message centre and call display. In most cases, a customer will not need to put the $8 email feature on their account because they can check it using the $10 mobile browser as mentioned above.
A few other notable features are its 2MP camera, expandable memory and touch screen qwerty keypad for text messaging.
The bottom line is that the bliss is a feature rich phone. If you want to use some of these features you will have to pay for things like instant messaging, text messaging, GPS ect. This is no different from any other non smartphone.
This phone is great for someone who doesnt want to have to put a $25 data package on their phone just to be able to do some casual web browsing.
As mentioned above, I really like this phone and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone provided they remember that this is a phone with great mobile browser, not a data device.
I completely agree with you Jeff.I got one last week and its good.It took me few hours to get myself used to it.So far no complain.I only used it for basic call and casual browsing when i really need it.No way i’m gonna pay for ridiculous data when i have a high speed internet at home.this phone can do what i need the most and that is-Facebook,Hotmail,call and text.
So Far everywhere I have looked online the LG Bliss has received horrible reviews. I beleive these reviews are negative in nature based on Bell’s Decision to nickel and dime their customers to death with this phones(LG BLISS) options. Besides hitting the call and end call button, every other application and program on the LG Bliss costs big money to use. They advertise these as the phones options, however its only the case if you want to pay $200/month to have all of them activated…….Meanwhile a Black Berry from Rogers with a $25 data package allows you to do more then anything this phone or any other bell phone can do, with no other hidden costs. Bell has to kick it self in the head and re-think how they lock these phones down. I can’t even put a ringtone on the LG Bliss without having to pay Bell to download it when Rogers phones give you data cable to drag and drop them cost free.
I am stuck with bell and this phone for 3 years, make sure you are not a victim of Bell Mobility lies, both instore and over the phone. They will not let me return the phone because I exceeded 30minutes of talk time on the phone. I have been told by bell that i have to pay $400 to buy my self out of my contract now because I have a crappy LG Bliss phone I’m unhappy with.
If I had paid $279 last week for the phone and signed no contract with bell, I could have canceled. But because I signed a 3 year deal and paid only $79 dollars for the LG Bliss, I now have to pay BELL Mobility $400 dollars to get out of a contract where they are the ones that can’t provide me proper service. LG Bliss is trash, so is Bell’s customer service, Stay away or go get burned by the new Palm Pre…….same Trash as LG Bliss.
LG Bliss sucks and its been a nightmare owning it! Bell Sales reps lie and pump the phone up when it really does suck. Bell Rips customers off. You have to spend $8 for e-mail and $10 extra for mobile browser. $18 in hidden charges for my LG Bliss. Why not spend $7 more per month and get a GSM Based Black Berry from Rogers….a real smart phone. Bell customer service told me since I talked 30 minutes on my phone I can’t return it either. ALERT TO CONSUMERS BELL LG BLISS IS A RIP OFF!…
