UK company Dixon’s brand, Advent, is going to launch later this month the Advent Altro slim notebook PC that is designed to challenge Apple’s MacBook Air. The Altro is powered by Intel’s ultra-low voltage Celeron processor, 3GB RAM and a 120GB hard drive.
The Advent Altro gets a 13.3-inch LCD display and offers an HDMI port. The slim notebook has a metal case. There is also the Altro Elite, costs about GBP800, that packs the faster Core 2 Solo CULV processor. Altro will be out on 24 August.
