Canon PowerShot SD980 IS Digital ELPH Camera purple
Canon announced two new compact Digital ELPH Cameras, the PowerShot SD980 IS and SD940 IS, made to replace the SD970 and SD960. Both with a sleek, polished and stylush look and is tiny and compact. They have a 12.1 Megapixel image sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor and are able to record 720p HD video.

The PowerShot SD980 IS gets a 5x optical zoom lens with 24mm wide angle and a 3-inch PureColor System touchscreen LCD while the SD940 IS has 4x optical zoom, 28mm wide angle and a 2.7-inch PureColor LCD display. These cameras offer HDMI video output allowing you to enjoy images and video on HDTV.
These new compact PowerShot cameras also include ISO up to 1600, Optical Image Stabilization, Face Detection, PictBridge support and a SD/SDHC/MMC card slot. Canon PowerShot SD980 IS will be available in October in Silver, Blue, Purple, and Gold for $329.99 and the PowerShot SD940 IS in Blue, Black, Silver and Brown for $299.99.
Note. Canon PowerShot SD980 IS is known as Digital IXUS 200 IS in Europe and as IXY DIGITAL 930 IS in Japan. Canon PowerShot SD940 IS is released as Digital IXUS 120 IS in Europe and as IXY DIGITAL 220 IS in Japan.
