Amber Alert GPS introduces the 2G, the “world’s smallest, most powerful GPS tracking device” that can be used to track the location of your child. The idea is really simple, you place the 2G tracking device in your kid’s pocket, purse or backpack, then you call or text the 2G and within seconds you’ll receive a detailed map and address of their exact location right on your web-enabled phone.

Amber Alert GPS 2G (AAGPS 2G) has an SOS button so you kid can ask for help when he/she is in a dangerous or threatening situation, or has a medical emergency. You can also use the Destination Alert function so you will receiver text or email when your child arrive a certain place. There is also optional Voice Monitoring function that allows you to listen and know what’s going on around your child.

The Amber Alert GPS 2G tracking device is priced at $379 and you an get the subscription for $9.99 per month. It is available in Silver, Blue, Pink and Black.

  3. GPS tracking children has been an application that has grown in popularity as GPS devices have became smaller and more portable. One concern I have is if a mother placed the micro tracker in a child’s bag, (as depicted in the image above) the child might not be able to reach the panic button feature if they were actually kidnapped. My second concern would be if the unit was in an area with poor cellular coverage would it still be able to transmit location? With my concerns being said, I still think any piece of technology that can potentially save a child’s life is great, and more devices like this should be created.
