NEC adds to its NP series the NP4100W wide-aspect professional installation projector, designed for large venues. Compare to its sibling, the NP4100, NEC’s new NP4100W offers a large resolution at 1280×800 in 16:10 aspect ratio.
The NP4100W features a 2100:1 contrast ratio, 5500 ANSI lumens brightness, AutoSense that automatically syncs with any computer signal, DynamicBlack that improves the black level of video and the BrilliantColor, which increases system brightness and color saturation while optimizing color gain across the full color gamut. There is ECO mode that can extend lamp life by up to 25%.
NEC’s NP4100W is compatible as either dual- or single-lamp operation, which provides redundancy in the event that one lamp fails. It offers Ethernet LAN connector and DVI-D with HDCP, RCA, s-video, component, 15-pin and BNC inputs. NP4100W will be shipped in September for $5499.
