LaCie Portable DVD±RW Design by Sam Hecht

LaCie launches the Portable DVD±RW, Design by Sam Hecht, which is basically a USB external DVD SuperMulti burner with LightScribe support.

The Portable DVD±RW writes DVD+/-R and DVD+RW at 8X, DVD+/-R Dual Layer and DVD-RW at 6X, DVD-RAM at 5x and CD-R/RW at 24x. It uses USB 2.0 interface. It is equipped with LightScribe technology that allows you to burn silkscreen-quality labels directly onto CDs and DVDs with a laser instead of a printer.

The LaCie Portable DVD±RW is priced at $89.99 including the Creator Suite 10 burning software. The $119.99 Mac version will also come wth the Toast 9 for Mac.
