Intel Core i7 Mobile Processor Extreme Edition

At the IDF 2009, Intel announced the Core i7 Mobile Processor Extreme Edition, probably the fastest processor available for powerful gaming notebooks. The new Core i7 Mobile Extreme, formerly codenamed “Clarksfield”, features the Intel Turbo Boost technology that can accelerate the processor clock speed up to 75 percent to match workloads.
Three models are available, the Intel Core i7-920XM 2.0GHz, Intel Core i7-820QM 1.73GHzand Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz, that have a 1ku pricing of $1,054, $546 and $364, respectively. Acutally, these processors have been used on Dell’s Studio XPS 16, Alienware’s new M15x and Toshiba’s Qosmio X500.
