AT&T HTC Pure and HTC Tilt 2 WM6.5 Smartphones

AT&T launches the HTC Pure and HTC Tilt 2, two new smartphones running the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. The HTC Pure is actually AT&T’s version of Touch Diamond2 while the Tilt 2 is the Touch Pro 2. Both phones run Windows Mobile 6.5 with the TouchFLO 3D UI.

The HTC Pure features a 3.2 WVGA touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera while the HTC Tilt 2 gets a 3.6-inch large touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2 Megapixel camera. They include support for Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity as well as GPS/A-GPS support.
HTC Pure and HTC Tilt 2 are priced at $149.99 and $299.99 respectively, after a $50 mail-in-rebate with 2-year contract.

No headphone jack, no dedicated number row, and no visual voicemail? They could have done such a better job. At&t is the only company to manufacture this device with out the dedicated number row. Why?? Doesn’t make sense. But i have to say at&t’s version of the touch pro 2 is the best looking out of the American carriers. So im still going to give it a chance and purchase it.
There’s a free app called Fusion Voicemail that will give you visual voicemail capability. You can find it on windowsmobile.com. The phone comes with an adapter for headphones…still i agree it’d be better if just had its own jack built-in to the phone.
Does this have a good browser?
k, i might actually consider buying this although the price on att.com without contract Nd without the rebate…the phone is 500 bux(too much) i would jus get the iphone although it has bad service its a great multi-media device.
