OpenMoko WikiReader Puts Wikipedia in Your Pocket

OpenMoko launches the WikiReader, which is a portable device designed to put Wikipedia in your pocket. The WikiReader is a palm-sized electronic encyclopedia containing the more than three million English language articles of Wikipedia that can be accessed anywhere, anytime without the need of an internet connection.
OpenMoko’s WikiReader has a monochrome display and a touch interface. Wikipedia content ar loaded into a 8GB microSD card and users can get updated microSD cards by buying a $29 yearly subscription plan.
The WikiReader runs on two AAA batteries. It is priced at $99.
