Active Media Predator X7 SSD with Jmicron JMF612 controller
by Sze | Filed under StorageActive Media Products (ActiveMP), after the Predator GT, presents the new Predator X7 Solid State Drive (SSD) that is built around the Jmicron JMF612 controller. The new X7 series uses SATA II 3Gbps interface while there is also a mini USB 2.0 port, thanks to the 8-channel JM612 controller.
The 2.5-inch Predator X7 SSD gets 128MB cache memory and offers up to 230MB/s read speed and up to 180MB/s write speed. It is based on MLC NAND flash memory and includes hardware ECC Error Correction for server-class reliability and support for SMART Feature Set commands.
Active Media Predator X7 SSD is available in capacities ranging from 32GB to 256GB:
