Research In Motion (RIM) introduces the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 (the Bold 2) smartphone that comes with a compact and highly refined design that will appeal to both men and women and for both professional and personal use.
The Bold 9700 is powered by a 624MHz processor and 256MB flash memory. It features a 2.44-inch light-sensing display with 480×360 resolution, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording and built-in GPS for geotagging, maps and other location-based applications.
The BlackBerry 9700 includes media player. It gets a microSD/SDHC memory card and a rechargeable 1500 mAhr battery for up to 6 hours of talk time and 17 days of standby time in 3G mode. The 3G/SHDPA-capable smartphone is available in two versions:
- UMTS/HSDPA 2100/1900/850/800 MHz and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM
- UMTS/HSDPA 2100/1700/900 MHz and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM
