Livescribe Pulse Smartpen

Livescribe launches the new Pulse Smartpen with 4GB and 2GB internal memory, which comes in a new stylish titanium color. The Pulse smartpen is basically a device that digitally captures and syncs handwriting and audio together.
The 4GB model can hold over 400 hours of audio. The Pulse has an InfraRed camera for capturing handwriting, built-in microphone for voice recording, built-in speaker for audio playback, an OLED display showing the status of voice recorder and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The 2GB and 4GB Pulse Smartpen are priced at $169.95 and $199.95 respectively.
Livescribe brings also the Pro-Pack bundle for business professionals. The pack includes the 4GB Pulse smartpen in an exclusive black color, an A5 size starter notebook, a premium leather carrying case, handwriting to text transcription software, and the new Pro Charging Cradle.
Accroding to Livescribe, an Application Store will be introduced to add tools to the Smartpen.

Really slick technology but I took mine back for a refund. Pulse has set it up so the only way you can share files is through their website. You can’t save the files to your own web site or back them up on your own computers. Would you buy a camera from a company that said the only way you can share your photos was through their website? Not me! If I create something, I should be able to choose where and how I store & share my creation.
