Kingston releases the new SSDNow V Series 40GB Boot Drive SSD desktop upgrade kit, which is a affordable solution for users to replace the boot drive and to accelerate any desktop’s boot, shutdown and application load times.
The SSDNow V Series 40GB SSD has a 2.5-inch form factor and uses SATA interface. It offers up to 170MB/s read speed and up to 40MB/s write speed. It supports S.M.A.R.T. and is shock resistant. The MSRP of the 40GB Boot Drive SSD is $115 for standalone drive (SNV125-S2/40GB) and $130 for desktop bundle (SNV125-S2BD/40GB), but you will be able to get one for as low as $84.99 after rebates from newegg.
