Asus ESC1000 1.1Teraflops Supercomputer powered by NVIDIA Tesla

Asustek (Asus) shows the world its first desktop PC-sized supercomputer which is based on NVIDIA’s Tesla graphics processor. The ESC1000 is boosted by an Intel LGA1366 Xeon W3580  3.33GHz main processor, three NVIDIA Tesla C1060 Computing Processors with 960 graphics processing cores and 24GB DDR3 memory, offering up to 1.1 Teraflops processing power.

As the Tesla C1060 does not offer video output, a Quadro FX5800 is added to video out. It has a 500GB hard drive. A 1100-watt power supply unit is used.
