Acer Aspire AS8940G-6865 Core i7 Notebook

Acer is going to release this holiday season the new Aspire AS8940G-6865 Core i7-based notebook PC. This new Aspire laptop is boosted by an Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M graphics card.
The 18.4-inch Aspire AS8940G-6865 packs a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive and a 4X Blu-ray/DVD combo drive. It’s 18.4-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit display has 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. The notebook includes support for 802.11a/b/g/n, an Acer CrystalEye webcam, a multi-in-1 media card reader, a HDMI port and an eSATA port.
Acer’s Aspire AS8940G-6865 is equipped with a 5-speaker Acer CineSurround Sound System and features Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement. The machine offers also a Touch-Capacitive Media Control Interface. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Priced at $1349.99, a 8-cell battery is included.

It seems like laptops are getting better everyday. Its interesting that they put an i7 processor into this computer, i7 processors use a lot of energy to run, which in my opinion a laptop manufacturer would want to avoid this. I do like the fact that they put a class 1 graphics card in this machine, but again requires a lot of power. Everything about this computer seems great, the Blu-ray drive, the largest resolution for a laptop screen that i have seen and the colors are on it are most likely awesome (and its LED!), and they have a new motherboard that can support the ddr 3 ram. This laptop is better than most desktop computers. The price of $1349.99 is definitely worth it.
