Sony Ericsson officially announced its XPERIA X10 (rumored as X3 or X5) Android-based smartphone. As the company’s first Android phone, the X10 includes the new UX (user experience) platform that “lets consumers organize everything and discover more with the most open, human and intuitive user experience”.

Sony Ericsson has brough a all-new UI to the Android platform as part of the new UX. The X10 includes the Timescape that lets all your communication with a person come together in one place – Facebook, Twitter, emails, photos, text messages – all gathered; the Mediascape for mobile entertainment.

The XPERIA X10 features a large 4-inch 480×854 scratch-resistant touchscreen display, a 8.1 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, A-GPS support and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset is boosted by Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor and runs Google Android Donut 1.6. It has 1GB internal memory and a microSD card slot. The X10 includes most Google services, including the Android market.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 supports quad-band GSM and tri-band (900/1700/2100 OR 800/1900/2100) UMTS 3G/HSPA networks. It will be released in Q1 2010 in Sensuous Black and Luster White.
