Matrox announced the M9188 PCIe x16, the world’s first single-slot octal graphics card that is capable of supporting eight DisplayPort or DVI Single-Link outputs from a single workstation.
The M9188 PCIe x16 uses PCIe x16 interface and has 2GB of memory. It offers up to 2560×1600 resolution per output with DisplayPort or 1920×1200 with DVI. The new card works with Windows 7 OS. The M9188 PCIe x16 is priced at $1995.
There is also the less-advanced M9128 that drive two monitors and has 1GB of memory. M9128 is priced at $259. Matrox will release these cards in Q4 2009.
