Sony TransferJet LSI Shipped

Sony announced the shipment of its first TransferJet LSI chips. The TransferJet is a new short-range wireless transmission technology that allows high-speed data transfer. Theoretically, TransferJet offers up to 560Mbps max transmission rate and 375Mbp effective rate. The communication range will be really short at a distance of about 3cm.
Sony brings two chips, the CXD3267AGG that uses PCI/Mini PCI interface and the CXD3268AGW with SDIO 2.0 connctor. Both of them are priced at 1500 Yen.
