ThinkFlood RedEye turns iPhone into Universal Remote

A company called ThinkFlood announced the RedEye universal remote control system for iPhone and iPod touch. Basically, the RedEye turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a universal remote control.

With the RedEye base station and the free iPhone app, you can control your TV, DVD player, cable box, DVR and many other device that receive standard infrared signals. The RedEye base station communicates with your iPhone/iPod touch via WiFi, it then send commands via InfraRed to devices you want to control.
The RedEye device also serves as a charging dock. The system supports multiple rooms, controllers and users simultaneously and RedEye users can customize the way they control their equipment with touchscreen buttons, Apple’s Multi-Touch gestures, and accelerometer controls. The RedEye base station is priced at $188.
