Mintpass The Cube Retro-Style MP3 Player

Mintpass shows a new MP3 player design concept called The Cube, which is a music player built for men. The retro-style Cube has analog indicators and analog buttons and lacks a display or LED status light.
The Cube has three analog indicators, a Volume Unit Meter (VU Metee), a battery indicator and a FM radio freqency indicator. It’s buttons are also analog bringing classic cassette player’s button to a modern digital music player. The Mint Cube has a mini USB port for connecting to PC, a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for Bluetooth that enables wireless music listening.
Mintpass’ The Cube is still a design idea currently.

This is the idea i have been looking for. We have a number of people in my family who are visually impaired. The idea of a music player that could be controlled by large, cassette deck style buttons would be ideal! There is a tremendous issue of isolation and depression for someone who is blind and elderly. Books on CD or MP3 are a terrific way for someone to keep their spirit up – but in the case of my aging family members, have been impossible to use. For someone like my 93 year old aunt she cannot see little mp3 or cd buttons and her hands are too big and clumsy to make the keys work. She would benefit so much from a small, easy to manipulate, button-based system like this one. Please let me know when these models are for sale.
