Chumbophone – Retro-style Chumby Case Mod

A DIYer from etsy has created the Chumbophone, a case mod that makes the Chumby a retro gadget. The Chumbophone gets a half vintage, half steampunk-styled wooden enclosure as well three brass horns, various brass ornamentals, claw feet, and a hatch door in the rear.
Inside the Chumbophone, you can find a standard Chumby internet device. The Chumby sports a ARM9 350MHz-based Freescale i.MX21 controller, 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM. It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen and supports WiFi. The device is capable of internet radio, weather, social networking, clock/alarm, YouTube…etc.
