Google Nexus One Android 2.1 Smartphone

Google officially releases its first ever mobile phone, the Nexus One made by HTC. The Nexus One is the first Android 2.1 (Eclair) device and is the first Android phone to get the 1GHz SnapDragon processor. (Acer Liquid‘s SnapDragon runs at 768MHz).

The Nexus One comes with 512MB Flash memory and 512MB RAM. It features a 3.7-inch 800×480 AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and AGPS support. It supports tri-band UMTS/HSPA 3.5G and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks.

This real GPhone includes also digital compass, acceleromter, 3.5mm audio jack and removable 1400 mAH battery. The device is available for $529 without service contract and Google ships the phone to the US, the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. Consumers in the US may get the phone for $179 with T-Mobile’s Even More Individual 500 plan with 2-year contract.

The Google Nexus One is now available at google.com/phone. As indicated at the site, the phone will be available in the Europe via Vadafone as well and there will be a CDMA EVDO version for Verizon Wireless.

Purchased a brand new Wildfire about a month ago as a business telephone however am very upset , firstly i’d have about 900 contacts on my previous XDA and was able to view by organisation or particular person, not so on Wildfire solely by particular person which is of no use particularly with no search option either. Android 2.2 is supposed to have search facility but not different view choice launch date seems to differ every time . Battery fairly good approx 18 hrs medium usage. Bluetooth poor, paired with parrott automotive kit ok for day or so however will not connect even by unpairing and pairing new, identical problem with bluetooth headset……..any concepts cannot discover anything on http://www.htcwildfireforum.com assist could be appreciated
