Panasonic announced in Japan the new VIERA G2 series plasma HDTV, including the 50-inch TH-P50G2, 46-inch TH-P46G2 and 42-inch TH-P42G2. The G2 series features Full HD 1920x1080p resolution and 5 Million:1 contrast ratio thanks to Panasonic’s Black Panel Plasma technology.
The VIERA G2 comes with built-in digital TV tuner. It offers three HDMI ports as well as composite, D-sub, component inputs. There is also Ethernet LAN port. The G2 will be released on 5 February.
Panasonic also introduced the VIERA S2 series in Japan.
