Nintendo Pokewalker accessory

Nintendo is going to launch two new Pokemon games, the Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version for NDSi and NDS systems. Both games will come with the new Pokewalker accessory that allows players to take their favorite Pokémon with them wherever they go.

In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions, players can wirelessly transfer any one of their Pokémon from one of the two games to the Pokéwalker and walk them through virtual routes as the player walks around in real life.

By walking, players earn Watts, which are used within the Pokéwalker to encounter and catch wild Pokémon or search for hidden items, and can be transferred into Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions to unlock new routes. There are even special versions of certain Pokémon that can only be found within routes on the Pokéwalker, giving players added incentive to keep their Pokémon with them wherever they go.

The Pokémon in the Pokéwalker will gain experience points as the player walks, and can even go up one level when they are transferred back into the game. Players also can wirelessly connect two Pokéwalkers to trade items.

Um… I lost my pokewalker. It fell out of my pocket one day and my mom has one too but she doesn’t use it. She was gonna let me use hers but I don’t know how to disconnect my pokewalker (the one I lost) from my DS so I can connect and use hers. Help please?

My son had gone swimming with it and once we came home it no longer worked. then the battery went bad in it so it was a mess. but it works fine! good luck!

Here is what I suggest, you have to remove the battery. Get the special screw driver to open the Ds and Pokewalker 360/x50. Open it up and carefully disconnect the display. This is a bit tricky if you have never done it before. there is a small black flap that presses the display belt onto the connection. You have to pull it up so it will release the belt (it has a hinge). Then take a qtip and alchohol and clean the board so that no residue is left on the board on either side. In particular by the battery if it went bad and the display belt. Then let it all dry. put on all 4 screws for the circuit board. Connect the belt by sliding it back into the socket and once securely in place, gently push the hinged flap back toward the belt put all your buttons and close it up. Secure the screws, place a new battery in the back. Now I had to push my buttons for a while before it started working (2 minutes). Then I heard beeping and the screen came on.
