Nikon introduces two new NIKKOR lenses, the ultra fast AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.4G ED and the ultra wide AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR. Both of them have water-resistant body and feature the Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology for quiet, fast and accurate autofocus performance and Nano-Crystal Coating that minimizes instances of internal ‘ghosting’ and flaring.
The 24mm f/1.4G features a 24mm perspective with an ultra-fast f/1.4 aperturem which allows photographers to shoot handheld in low light. The 16-35mm f/4G ED VR offers an ultra-wide angle zoom and features Nikon’s Vibration Reduction (VR) II image stabilization. They can be used with FX and DX DSLRs.
The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.4G ED will be available in late March 2010 for $2199.95 and the AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR in late February 2010 for $1295.95.
