Canon introduces three new Wireless Files Transmitters, the WFT-E2 II A for EOS 1D Mark IV, the WFT-E4 II A for EOS 5D Mark II and the WFT-E5A for EOS 7D. All these transmitters are compatible with WiFi 802.11a/b/g connectivity and support Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) option for one-touch connection.
Canon’s new Wireless File Transmitters offer FTP transfer mode, the new WFT Server mode that allows up to three users to remotely connect to a camera via any standard Web browser for global access of images in real-time, and the “EOS Utility” mode that offers full-camera control while remote shooting with a complete full Live View preview on-screen.
Also included are the Camera Linking function for photographers to link up to 10 “slave” cameras wirelessly to one “master” camera and fire all eleven cameras simultaneously and the a USB Host port for connecting USB stoarge device or GPS unit. The WFT-E5A gets also the Media Server function.
The Canon WFT-E4 II A and the WFT-E5A are priced at $699.99 each and the WFT-E2 II will be released later.
