Sharp AQUOS BD-HDW55 and BD-HDW53 Blu-ray Recorders

Sharp Japan introduces the new AQUOS BD-HDW55 and BD-HDW53 Blu-ray Disc recorders. These recorders have integrated Analog/Digital hybrid TV tuner and are able to record to internal hard drive or BD-RE and BD-R as well as DVD-R/RW and DVD-R DL.
Videos are recorded using MPEG2 or MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codecs. The BD-HDW55 and BD-HDW53 have 500GB and 320GB hard drive respectively. They have one USB port for media playback.
