Sanyo is going to release two new projectors, the PLC-WM5500 and PLC-WM4500, both features 1280×800 WXGA resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. The WM5500 offers 5500 ANSI lumens brightness and a 330W projection lamp while the WM4500 provides 4500 ANSI and a 275W lamp. They have 800:1 contras tratio.
Sanyo’s PLC-WM5500 and PLC-WM4500 feature the Picture-by-Picture Mode allows the display of two images in fixed screen locations of equal size and the Picture-in-Picture Mode displays an inset image within the full-frame image. Sanyo’s New Optical Engine and Active Maintenance Filter (AMF) system are also included.
Sanyo’s new projectors both have HDMI 1.3 input, DVI-D, D-sub, composite video, BNC/RCA and S-video inputs. Both $5,645 PLC-WM5500 and $4,545 PLC-WM4500 come with the LNS-S20 standard zoom lens, while the $4,995 PLC-WM5500L and $4,095 PLC-WM4500L models have optional lens.
