BlackBerry Bold 9650 CDMA Smartphone

While the Pearl 3G is for GSM/UMTS/HSPA network, RIM also brings the Bold 9650 smartphone that supports CDMA EVDO 3G network, which is an update to the Tour 9630. The new Bold has a stylish design with glossy black finish and chrome highlights. The phone, in fact, looks just like the Tour but gets an optical trackpad.

The Bold 9650 features a 2.24-inch 480×360 LCD display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, image stabilization and video recording; full QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS, BlackBerry Maps, a microSD/SDHC card slot, Bluetooth, and WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity. It offers easy access to facebook, MySpace, Flickr and other popular instant messaging services including BlackBerry Messenger.

In addition to EVDO Rev.A CDMA 3G network, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 also supports also UMTS/HSPA (2100Mhz) and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks. It will be available on 23 May from Sprint for $199.99 with a new two-year service agreement, after a $100 mail-in rebate.

    great review. me and my parnter love our new unlocked blackberry phones. great for email, stocks, and surfing for our business and on our long flights the games apps and facebook is great to kill time. processor and screen is faster than my old phone too. got our last 2 at gsmallover.com and they work great. 2 thumbs way up.
