Other than the portable USB 3.0 eGo, Iomega also introduces the USB 3.0 eGo Desktop hard drive. It uses USB 3.0 interface and is backward compatible with USB 2.0. Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, the USB 3.0 hard drive has a charcoal gray finish.

The USB 3.0 eGo Desktop drive comes with the Iomega Protection Suite that includes Trend Micro Internet Security, EMC Retrospect Express Backup software, Iomega QuikProtect, and MozyHome Online Backup service. You can get one at Amazon starting at $130.99.

Iomega Mac Edition eGo Desktop hard drive

Iomega also announced the Mac Edition eGo Desktop hard drive that offers two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port. It is HFS+ formatted and is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities. Get one at Amazon for $144.99.
