Samsung’s new 512GB SSD utilizes Toggle-mode DDR NAND Memory

Samsung announced its new high-speed 512GB SSD (solid state drive), which is the first to utilize the toggle-mode DDR NAND flash memory. The new 512GB SSD uses a 30nm 32 gigabit chip. It makes use of the toggle-mode DDR structure together with the SATA 3Gbps interface to offer a maximum sequential read speed of 250 MB/s and a 220MB/s sequential write speed.

The SSD also include Samsung’s newly deveoped low-power controller for toggle-mode DDR NAND. It sports reinforced 256bit AES encryption to protect users’ data as well.
