Following the Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro, Sony Ericsson brings us the Xperia X8 Android smartphone that shares similar design as the first three handsets. The new X8 features a similar UI like the X10 mini with the four-corner buttons for one-hand operation, Timescape or easy access to all your social networking.
SE’s Xperia X8 sports a 3-inch 320×480 capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with video recording, AGPS support, Bluetooth, WiFi and microSD slot. This Android phone also include Sony Ericsson Music player and the company’s PlayNow and TrackID technologies. It supports GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 900/2100 or UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900/2100.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 will be released in Q3 in White, Dark Blue/White, Aqua Blue/White, Pink/White, Silver/White colors. The company also mentioned that other Xperia Android phones will receive Android 2.1 update in Q3.
