Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Smartphone with QWERTY Keyboard

Sprint introduces its second 4-capable phone after the HTC EVO 4G, the Samsung Epic 4G, which is Samsung’s first 4G Android phone and the first QWERTY 4G phone in the US. In fact, the phone has been leaked as  the Galaxy S Pro early this month, and is also one of the Galaxy S phones.

Like the keyboard-less Galaxy S/Captivate, Samsung’s Epic 4G is powered by Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor and runs the Android 2.1 platform with TouchWiz UI and Swype entry method. It sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, a VGA front camera for video calls, 6-axis accelerometer and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

Sprint’s Epic 4G supports CDMA EVDO Rev.A and WiMAX networks and is compatible with DLNA.  Sprint will announced pricing and availability in the coming months.
