Chinese company SmartDevices, which is known for its SmartQ Linux tablet, is going to release in China the all-new SmartQ T7-3G tablet with Android OS. The new tablet looks exactly like the SmartQ R7 e-book reader getting a 7-inch touchscreen. It runs Android 2.1 and will include support for 3G network and WiFi connectivity.
No details are available yet but we can expect Full HD 1080 video playback capability and support for wide range of media formats. SmartDevices will also release the 3G-less T7 model as well.
Update: SmartDevices has just announced the pricing of the T7-3G. The WCDMA version costs 1980 Chinese Yuan while the CDMA EVDO version is priced at 1880 Yuan. There is also the TD-SCDMA version that has not been priced.
