Remeber back in April Velocity Micro had introduced its Cruz tablet? The company reveal more details of Cruz devices and their launch date and pricing. Three tablets will be released, the Cruz Reader, Cruz Tablet, and Cruz StoryPad, all running Android OS.
First of all, the Cruz Reader is a tablet intended for reading. It has a 7-inch 800×600 resistive screen. It packs 256MB RAM, 256MB ROM and comes with a 2GB SD memory card. The battery is enough for over 6 hours of reading. The Cruz Reader supports WiFi b/g and will come with a docking station.
The Cruz Tablet is more like an internet device featuring a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, 512MB RAM, 4GB flash memory and 8GB SD card. It supports WiFi 802.11n and comes with a battery, which offers over six hours of video playback. Lastly, the Curz StoryPad will have a drop resistant design and is designed for kids.
The Cruz Reader and Cruz Storypad will be released in August for $199 and $149 respectively while the Cruz Tablet will come in September for $299.
